Ivan spent the afternoon of Friday 16^th October at Bury College meeting students for an extremely interesting questions and answer session. The students who were all interested in politics were from all disciplines, ranging from geography to media studies. They took the opportunity to ask Ivan many questions on a variety of topics including: first time voters; apprenticeships; the media; and foreign policy. He responded to all of their questions in an open and honest manner. The students were delighted to have the opportunity to ask Ivan questions and hear his opinions on the issues that matter to them most. Ivan said:

“My question and answer session with students was stimulating and challenging. It once again dispelled the myth that young people are not interested in politics.”

Whilst at Bury College, he also presented a certificate for the Investors in People (IIP) standard to Lauran Chatburn, the College Principal and said:

“I am proud that Bury College continues to be one of the UK’s leading further education institutions. The Investors in People award is further evidence of Lauran and her teams’ determination to strive for continual improvement.”
