   A Cowardly Alliance

A Cowardly Alliance with Anti Semites, Holocaust Deniers, and Homophobes

Forget the Tory Conference hype this is the issue which illustrates the weakness of David Cameron.  Joining forces in Europe with extremists in order to placate the right wing of his party then allowing them to speak at his Party Conference.  So much for the illusion of strong leadership.

Closer to home my Conservative opponent has remained silent, so far failing to reply to my letter (see below).

Imagine what she and her Tory friends would have said if Labour leaders had invited Holocaust deniers to our Conference.

The decision to form a political alliance with Nazi sympathisers and anti Semites was taken by David Cameron, the man who seeks to be the future leader of our country.  As his representative in Bury South Cllr Wiseman has a duty to condemn this invitation and call on Mr Cameron to break Tory links with such extremists.

In the name of people like my grandfather who was killed fighting for Britain against Nazi Germany and Holocaust survivors and their families she has a duty to act.

Letter To My Opponent:

5th October 2009

Dear Michelle,

As you are aware the Tory leadership has invited Michal Kaminski and Robert Zile to attend the Conservative Party Conference in our home city of Manchester. Kaminski has been identified as having an anti Semitic and Neo-Nazi past while Zile’s party celebrates the Latvian SS.

As you know many of my constituents bravely fought fascism in the British Forces during the last war, some survived the horrors of the Holocaust and others are family members of survivors.  In their name I urge you to condemn this invitation and call on David Cameron to break off these links with extremist right wing parties in the European Parliament.

All political parties have individuals who act in a way with which we may disagree but this is a decision made by your party’s leadership.  You have a duty to make David Cameron and the people of Bury South aware of where you stand on this issue.

Yours sincerely,
