250 People attended Lewis Pre-election Dinner

250 guests joined Ivan Lewis at his pre-election dinner held at the Longfield Suite on Thursday night.

The centre piece of the dinner was a conversation between Secretary of State for Health, Andy Burnham MP, and well known former GMTV presenter and newspaper columnist Fiona Phillips.  Guests also heard Foreign Secretary, David Miliband MP, praise Ivan Lewis for his excellent work as a Constituency MP and Minister on a video specially produced for the event.

Ivan Lewis stated:

“It is wonderful to receive such tremendous support from residents and businesspeople in Bury South as we approach the General Election.

“It was great to see the Longfield Suite packed.  Once again highlighting the madness of the Council’s proposal to either close or reduce the size of the Suite.”

Andy Burnham stated:

“Ivan is a friend and colleague whose work as a Constituency MP and Minister merits the tremendous support he has received tonight.

As I develop the new National Care Service for older and disabled people it should be remembered Ivan laid the foundations during his period as Care service Minister.”
